Anglicans Sell Naming Rights-"Ben Gay" Anglican Bishop Brings $1.5M to Struggling Denomination.

London-In order to stem a growing budget shortfall, the Church of England has announced the first grant in the controversial Endowed Diocese Programme. Pfizer has endowed the Diocese of Bath and Wells with a £1,000,000 gift. For that gift, the bishop will be referred to officially as the Ben Gay Bishop of Bath and Wells.

"Given the aging Anglican population, the endowment will help up reach our target audence in ways that television and radio advertising doesn't" said Steve Llewellen, Pfizer's European Consumer Products director. "Given the tough competition in the analgesic market, this is a real help in reestablishing the Ben Gay brand."
