4: Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, But those who keep the law strive with them.That last line is interesting. To the secular world, Christians are seen as narrow-minded and ignorant of what's really happening in the universe, especially if you live in Bible Belt territory.5: Evil men do not understand justice, But those who seek the LORD understand all things.
The writer of Proverbs would beg to differ. People who seek after God get a better discernment of what the world is like, since they are studying the universe's Creator. Other people study buildings to learn about architecture, we study the Architect.
Well said, Mark. Even though it can be dispiriting to talk to someone who "calls evil - good", there is also an amazement that that person knows so little of reality -- whether it's beauty, truth, or goodness.
