Make That a News Fast
I've been much more productive now that I've decided to take a news and blog-reading holiday. So many bad things are going on in the news that I keep getting depressed about it.
Iraq's not getting better. On the radio this evening, I heard that they made some sort of truce with Sadr. Grumble, grumble.
Kerry's closer than he has a right to be. I've got a Joe Jackson remake in my mind-Is She Really Going to Vote for Him?-"I see pretty girls talking up guerrillas on my street..." Say it ain't so.
The moral issues of the day seem to be slanting toward the bad guys. The mainline churches continue to lurch left, and the gay lobby seems to be moving things in their direction.
I'll be back, but I need to devote more energy to things like teaching and job-hunting; I've been spending too much energy pondering the Issues of the Day that I have been in a depressed paralysis on my personal issue.
Until I'm ready, I'm just doing fun posts, or posts that flow from my teaching or other aspects of my meatware life.
