Here's an interesting point to ponder in the current Herman Cain saga. The damaging part of the current issue his being accused of sexual harrassment while head of the National Restaurant Association might not be the harrassment part but the fact that he was head of the National Restaurant Association. That's not something that had been stressed in Cain's bio to this point.
If part of Cain's shtick is that he is a Washington outsider, how does that jibe with a guy who spent years as the restaurant industry's main man in Washington? This NRA is at the corner of 17th and M Street in Washington, which is just two blocks from K Street.
That isn't disqualifying, but it puts a bit of his outsider shtick into question.
One of the accusers is fixin' to go public, so we're due for a set of he-said-she-saids, which rarely bodes well for the he side.
