We're having one of those premature-spring day where we've hit 70 in Michigan. Of course, you have to wear shorts, or, like the buff youth walking past the restaurant just now, wearning nothing but shorts. The fans are on at my pizza joint, likely for the first time this calander year.

I didn't do any post-redneck-primary blogging, but Tuesday was a good day. Newt was shut out of any southern wins that might give him credibility as a viable candidate going forward. Barring some major blow-up from either campaign, the path to seeing a GOP convention turing to Newt is rather limited.
He does have a following of economic conervatives who want something less establishmentarian than Romney and something less preachy than Santorum (and something a few parsecs closer to Earth than Paul). Those of use of a certian age will fondly remember Newt from his speaker days; others of that same certain age will view him as the Devil's henchman, complete with the morals of an alley cat.
Hence, ain't gonna happen, Newton. Almost, but not quite.

Good news for Detroit fans-Megatron reupped with a megadeal-$132 million. He still have a year to go before free agency, but he had a big cap number for this season, so the Lions locked him in early.

The Tigers finally didn't tie, winning one in the 10th after having three 10-inning ties. 9-1-3 look like a soccer record.
