One of the local rock stations in the Saginaw Valley area had a series of faux adds for the Heine Winery in beautiful downtown Zilwaukee, where the motto of the ads was "grab some Heine." They seem to have gone national over the years.
It was a family business, with brothers Red and Thor Heine founding it years ago, bringing Thor's kids Harry Heine and Ophelia Heine in as the years went by, along with Thor's daughter-in law Uma Aikin-Heine. Quality was a Heine strong suit, with a crack inspection team checking each Heine.
Heine wine was known for screw-top caps back when that was uncommon for wine. When research found that people liked to chill their Heines with ice, they made the screw-top caps to fit cubes through, so Heine came with a big ice hole.
Also, to catch the condensation from ice-cold Heines, they developed a line of Heine Wipes.
