The Republican convention is slated for Tampa next week. So is Hurricane Isaac. I recall Hurricane Gustav messing with the 2008 convention even though it was in St. Paul; at the other end of the Mississippi, Gov. Jindal was dealing with what looked to be Katrina 2.0 and had to pass on his slated speech. Thankfully, Gustav wasn't quite as nasty and the lessons learned from Katrina had them over-protected rather than under-protected.
The early forecast have Isaac scrapping the Gulf Coast of Florida Monday; that's where Midwesterners tend to settle as opposed to the sixth borrough of New York that is SE Florida.
P.S.- When I Googled for my title quip, I found that there was a variant of wacky-tobaccy called Isaac Haze; if you came looking for that, I can't help you, but a rehab center might.
