Are Democrats really prepared to declare war on the people of Michigan? Here's the old Downriver warhorse, John Dingle-
Dingell argued Monday that if [Michigan governor Rick] Snyder doesn't veto the Republican [right to work] legislation, it "will create intolerable conditions between management and labor and between labor and the citizens."
Let's check out that last one. If workers have the right not to join a workplace union, either the citizens will make things intolerable for workers (not likely) or workers will make things intolerable for citizens.
Wildcat strikes, perhaps? Vandalism-a shreading of state tax refund checks, perhaps? Extra auditing of Republican tax returns? Slashing tires of cars with Tea Party stickers?
Would that make the Democratic party or the UAW a terrorist group?
Hopefully, Dingel doesn't mean all that, but such union thugishness isn't unheard of.
