To Sleep, Perchance to Dream

Interesting (as always) Dan Edelen post on dreams and how the modern church has been skittish of them as a tool for God to speak to us. There are quite a few people who overdo dream interpretation and dream seminars are a growth industry in charismatic circles (John Paul Jackson comes to mind), so there is reason for skittishness.

However, Dan points out rightly that discernment is the key. A lot of dreams are just last night's burrito talking, so thinking and praying things through is important and not just going off half-cocked. Unfortunately, too many folks do go off half-cocked these days and will go off on flying burrito chases.
