So Russia is pulling troops out of Syria. That begs the question; how many are there in the first place and are they merely moving them out publicly on one hand and moving them in quietly on the other? The folks on the business end of air strkes aren't impressed with Putin's show of restraint, but diplomats looking for something resembling an olive branch might be.

We've got Palm Sunday coming up just three days after St. Patrick's Day. Palm frond decor would be called for, so you can waive the green after you wear it.

Speaking of saints, Mother Teresa is set to join the fraternity on the sunday before Labor Day. It's interesting that it took 19 years after she died to get the nod, since she was seen as something of a living saint for decades, only disliked by anti-theists or a few anti-Catholic knuckle-draggers on the evangelical right.
She now has the two required miracles under her belt where folks asked her to intercede with God for them and a that-just-cain't-happen-on-its-own cure went down. How much that was of God and how much of a supposed intermediary is food for thought and good for a ritual exchange of unpleasantries across the Tiber.

Kansas and Michigan State seem to be the co-favorites to be on top in three weeks once March Madness turns to early April. Minor problem; Michigan State is a two-seed and thus seen as at best #5 in the country, since the top four would get the four one-seeds.
A wee disconnect between the selection committee and ESPN's cast of pundits? We'll see who needs to correct their analysis in due time, but it's some short-term bragging rights for a MSU alum.
