We've had a number of young Shaqs come through college sports already; we now have a Kobe Bufkin heading to UofM. Time does fly, it was 24 years ago that the Lakers got his namesake's rights from Charlotte for Vlade Divac, clearing out the center spot for the incoming Shaq. That's ample time to have a 17-year old named after you, but it doesn't seem that it can be that long ago.

Interesting story out of Toronto, where the Blue Jays are doing their summer camp. The vigilant Ontario government (Trumpesque premier Doug Ford actually acted statesman-like in his reasonably-proactive response to COVID; miracles do happen from time to time) has the players confined to the stadium grounds under threat of a $750,000 fine and jail time if they leave. Don't worry about sleeping arrangements; they have a hotel in left-centre field (it's Canada, so we need to spell it right).

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap seems to be Roger Stone's theme song; either that, or Papa was a Trolling Stone. He gets pardoned for his role in obstructing the Mueller probe. Trump doesn't need to spend a dime to pardon commute him, since it's a perk of his job.
However, the way the Stone rolls, he'll probably do something else worthy of a second trip to Club Fed, so he might not be free for too long.
[Update 7/12-I was sloppy yesterday. Stone got his sentence commuted, not wiped out entirely. Mueller made a point of noting that's he's still a convicted felon, just not a jailed one. I also misspelled Mueller; it's sadly in the spell-checker, which still wants to turn the senior senator from New York into Chuck Schemer.]
